Jerrilyn Young has been recognized by the archdiocese for her tremendous service to Holy Family in receiving the 2018 Parochial Christifideles Award. When God created "worker bees," Jerrilyn must surely been among them. Jerrilyn's tireless and generous service to the Holy Family community has extended through most of her life, and her love and dedication to the parish and its people has never waned for even a moment of that time. In addition to her proud and sincere verbal expression of her faith, Jerrilyn proclaims the Gospel through every warm smile she shares, through the joy she brings to children in need at Christmastime, through her servant leadership at parish gatherings, and in her many efforts to foster and deepen community within the parish. The Parochial Christifideles Award is bestowed upon an individual Catholic layperson who has demonstrated by participation in parish life, the personal and ministerial renewal called for by the Papal Exhortation, Christifideles Laici, calling the laity to the vocation of responsibility for the Church's life springing from the gift and mission of their baptism. Congratulations, Jerrilyn, on this well deserved honor!!!!
